Charissa Thompson

Thompson moved on from FOX Sports in the year 2010 and did double duty as a host for both Versus and Yahoo Sports. She was the host of Versus' NHL coverage in the studio and created Web-based videos for Yahoo's popular platform. Thompson was the site's presence during high-profile sporting events, such as the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. She was a successful host at both events, which brought her to ESPN in August 2011. In this role she hosted the newly created program in the afternoon called "Numbers Never lie" on the network. She was also a member of"SportsNation" in the summer of 2012 "SportsNation" organization in July 2012. The show proved to be extremely popular, and she was there until May 2013, after which she returned in Los Angeles to launch FS1. A sports fan at heart, Thompson has also shown her impressive ability to move into the entertainment world of television. After a series of temporary opportunities and promotions, she was appointed co-hosting the late-night edition of Hollywood news magazine "Extra," in June 2014.
