Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural household. Her birthplace was within South London. Her father and mother have both been English. She grew on a south London community estate, and when she was 14, attended The Brit School. She pursued acting studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She appeared in many stages during her high time at school, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer was that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Her popularity has led her to be cast in Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in the six-episode series Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also starred as the title character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. Her stage credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was later ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series of Revenge on ABC for two seasons. In May 2013 that she'd be leaving the series following an appearance in the first series of the 3rd. From 2014 to the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he has also appeared alongside Madekwe on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for the Gemini Award, hails from the large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's four brothers, each of them extremely active, took part in hockey in the winter and baseball during the summer months, which means they grew up mostly in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley did not have the ability to walk but she was able to dance. At the age of two, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. She also won best soloist awards at all major dance contests, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
