Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She moved to California at the age of five. She grew up primarily within Orange County. The actress got her first big break acting after graduating from University of California San Diego in the year 2015. Pernas began her acting career by playing small parts on NCIS as well as Leverage. The Young and the Restless provided Pernas the role Marisa. The actress was cast as Catalina as Catalina in Jane the Virgin after she quit the soap. The model who speaks four languages, has appeared on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Her character Lexi Vaziri was on Blood & Treasure between 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas has been in a relationship with Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. This romance began in May of 2020, after Pernas split up with her wife Chrishell Stause. News was reported in May 2021 in 2021 that Pernas and Hartley recently tied the knot in a secret ceremony.
