A native of Morocco, Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was 5 years old. She grew up living in Orange County. In 2015, she graduated from the University of California San Diego and received her first big break acting. Pernas began her acting career through minor roles on NCIS as well as Leverage. The Young and the Restless offered Pernas the role Marisa. The actress was cast as Catalina as Catalina in Jane the Virgin after she was let go of the soap. The actress who is multi-lingual has appeared on The Brave, The Green Ghost as well as Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Her role as Lexi Vaziri was on Blood & Treasure between 2019 between 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas is in a relationship with Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The romance came shortly after the This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of 2019. Pernas Hartley And Pernas Hartley were secretly married in May of 2021.
